1/35 MaK Gustav [Complete]

This is a D3 1/35 Gustav resin kit obtained from the winter WonderFestival in Japan. Honestly, how can you guys work in 1/35 scale? Everything is so damn small. I can't even see some of the details that need to be painted on the figure.

Base - I don't have much in the way of 1/35 accessories, so the setting will be pastoral.

Pilot - A mix of Dragon figures that I've had in the spares for the past 16years.

This kit is hard to found, but the good news is, the new Hasegawa 1/35 Nutrocker/Nutcracker will include a 1/35 Gustav and a 1/35 Melusine. Sweet!

Thanks Biskup and Tobias. It's a NeuPanzerfaust. It's from the future.

Perk up little SDR pilot, why do you look so worried?

Image

The sad looking little SDR pilot has been painted an installed. I had a real hard time painting this guy even with my 4/0 brush. Once again, I limited myself to what could be done on the face in about an hour. That's all I want to spend, so if I want my faces to look better, I need to learn to mix paint faster. :D I applied a MIG Filter for German Gray which is a bit blue, so even the Gustav is a little blue now. Don't be blue little Gustav, you're fighting days are almost over.

Groundwork has been airbrushed with acrylics. Grass is static grass and seaweed fibers.
