M61A5 "Semovente" Sci-Fi tank 04.09 updated

Postby Tobias Bayer » Sat Jul 24, 2010 3:02 pm

Here are the first pictures of my new project. It´s a sci-fi tank from Bandai, with 2 155mm main guns. Lot of fun building this kit, litte filling was needed.

looking forwad how you work that thing out but so far the urban-camo scheme is coming pretty convincing ...

Little update. I worked on the exhausts and on some other parts. Next step will be the mud on the tracks.

I guess, this kit isn´t no more available, sadly! Looks top notch and I think what kind of Equipment you will add on this impressive tank? Aren´t there any figures in the box? Do you have pics of them?

Hi Frank, yes this kit isn´t avaible any more. I had it sitting over a year build but not painted on my table. 3 figures are in the box, you can see them in the last picture (I´m not using them)

OK, I would sculpt new ones or maybe use some Alpine stuff in case of! The plastic figures attached to the kit look a bit strange. But the Tank itself is very impressing!!

pretty realistic work!

the model itself is not too futuristic - that's why i like it! i do not like those grav-tanks or any other flying stuff coz a tank without tracks is no tank for me ...

looking forward to see the final setup!

planning for a small dio?

Yes I´ll make a dio, but it´ll be a big one, because the tank is longer then a german "Maus" and expanded then the "E-100".

Hi Tobias,

This is really cool and I love the digital scheme you've applied, you scaled it really well and it's quite convincing. Nice detailing so far and yes I saw these in the stores, BIG!!!

Thanks Keyvan
I painted the MIG future soldier, but I added a new head, which I made from Dragons parts.
