Tau Devlilfish Patrol Vignette

Complete! This “side project” was fulfilling it’s role nicely, sitting off on the side! Learned a great deal from this one including the best reason for writing detailed notes on how I am completing models. Only 6 mths or so old and I had no real idea how I had finished this one so the notes come in very handy for future reference!

To finish up, I added a little more color to the base with acrylics and pigments, added more flat and gloss areas with acrylic varnishes from Vallejo and painted some details like the windows and sensors and added it all together.

Really enjoy this piece now that it’s done and would like to do more vignettes like this.

Hope you like it!!!

Great little dio! I'm a Witch Hunter's modeller, but if I had to choose a non-humanoid W40K race to model Tau would be my choice! 8)

Once again, great job!!

Great job!
At last a Tau vehicle that´s not looking like it´s hovering directly from the factory, but has been used in battle for a while.

thank you very much for all the positive words and feedback, really glad you like it. It started out as a re-paint and kind of "test" project but as it moved along I became more and more happy with the result.

Modelling really is a fine hobby, but who am I telling!?! :)

Cheers,

I like it a lot. In general I'm not a big fan of Tau because they're too clean and haven't got a lot of personality, this vignette have a lot !
Keep it up.
