Another King Tiger - 1/35 Tamiya, Another update 6/27/2010

Postby Adam Wilder » Thu Apr 29, 2010 10:13 am

Hello

Here is the latest commission that I need to paint. The model was built by master Spanish modeler Carlos de Diego. Makes life easier because he did a better job building it then I could have.

I will try to place some updates in the upcoming weeks. Thanks for looking.

Sincerely
ANPW

The King Tiger is one of my favorite tanks.
Nice model so far. In which color and camouflage you will paint this tank ?

Thanks again everyone. Sorry that I have been silent. There’s just been a lot going on. All is good.

Would all of you want to do a group build of something like this or maybe a T-34?

Lechner, it will probably have a splinter camo. Thanks for asking.

I could always use some help Rick. Things are better BTW in regards to our last conversation.

Cheers

Re: Another King Tiger - 1/35 Tamiya, much of the airbrushing co

Postby Adam Wilder » Thu May 06, 2010 8:48 am

Despite a number of problems resulting from simple misfortune I was finally able to get much of the airbrushing completed on this model over the past week. I think that one reason the KT is so popular is it overall shape as much as its size. I wanted more of a simple camouflage to add color while not changing its silhouette too much.

I hope that you like it.

Sincerely
ANPW

Nice Tiger Adam. To be honest I was hoping for a perfect hard edged factory applied ambush pattern. Well, anyway it will be a winner. I stay tuned.

I agree Powel but the collector wanted color modulation like I did on the Jagd Tiger. I also did not want to do another German heavy with yellow CM.

Thanks for the comment.
